There is a two day workshop on Food Writing on 5th and 6th February being conducted by Rushina Munshaw Ghildiyal for the Kalaghoda Festival.
On the 8th of Feb (7pm) there is a panel discussion on food and literature at the Museum Garden. Most looking forward to hearing Samanth Subramanian, the author of Following Fish.

A three day wine tasting festival kicks-off this weekend.

Japanese Street Food Festival

Want to learn to grow your own herbs? Head to The Hub in Bandra on 21st September to learn about soil and pot usage, the plants and vegetables best suited for the upcoming season and different watering techniques to make sure your green patch is luxuriant. And all those who’ve been asking me for basil seeds – you should come! While my basil plant hasn’t given that many seeds to send it out to everyone yet, you will learn to sow some basil seeds and take them home! Surely, there will be some folks green (how apt) with envy after you toss up a salad with the fresh herbs.

Picture this: A lunch of bright red snapper, grilled with lemon and garlic and doused with copious amounts of butter. And it’s not just a random red snapper you got from the market, or worse still, purchased from the frozen section (gasp), it’s a red snapper you caught that morning - so fresh, so flavourful.

So get some fishing equipment and mark a date in your calender for your fishing trip with the Maharashtra State Angling Assiocation (MSAA)!

Santosh Kolwankar is a member of the MSAA who goes fishing almost every weekend. Santosh is one passionate angler who’s a strong force behind almost all the fishing trips. Well, just how passionate? His Facebook status messages are usually something on the following lines:

Santosh Kolwankar going to powai lake tonight.. another 24 hrs of crazy fishing..on Friday

Another place for seasoned anglers or a wannabes (like me) is the Bombay Fishing Club on Facebook. Heads up: the group hasn’t been active for a while, but maybe you could join and get the discussion started?
